1. Service Provider

Calheta Taxi is operated by Antonio Coutinho, a self-employed licensed taxi driver based in Calheta, Madeira, Portugal. Antonio Coutinho holds a valid taxi license issued by the regional authorities of Madeira.

Services listed on this website are provided as licensed taxi transportation.

By making a booking through this website or by phone/WhatsApp, you agree to these terms and conditions.

2. Bookings

• All bookings are subject to availability
• You will receive confirmation via SMS or WhatsApp
• Please provide accurate contact details and pickup information
• For airport pickups, please provide your flight number so Antonio Coutinho can track delays

3. Pricing & Payment

• Prices are quoted in Euros (EUR)
• Airport taxi is fixed-price as shown during booking
• Scenic rides are charged at the displayed route price or agreed rate
• Payment is accepted in cash or by card directly to the driver
• Prices include VAT where applicable

4. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a charge
• No-shows will be charged the full fare
• To cancel, contact Antonio Coutinho via WhatsApp or phone

5. Passenger Responsibilities

• Be ready at the pickup location at the agreed time
• Inform Antonio Coutinho of any special requirements in advance
• Children must use appropriate car seats (available on request)
• No smoking in the vehicle
• Passengers are responsible for their belongings

6. Driver Responsibilities

• Provide a clean, comfortable, and safe vehicle
• Arrive at the agreed time (allowing for traffic conditions)
• Track flights for airport pickups and adjust for delays
• Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
• Treat all passengers with courtesy and respect

7. Liability

The driver is not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road conditions, or other circumstances beyond his control. Liability is limited to the fare paid for the journey. Passengers are recommended to have travel insurance.

8. Scenic Rides

• Route plans are flexible and can be adjusted during the trip
• Specific weather conditions cannot be guaranteed
• Some viewpoints may be closed due to conditions
• Food and entrance fees are not included unless specified

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising from these terms or the services provided will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Funchal, Madeira, Portugal.
